Tokyo, Japan – March 3rd, 2016 – Nippon Control System Corporation (President and Representative Director: Nobuyasu Horiuchi, Headquarters: Shibuya-ku Tokyo), software and hardware developer and manufacturer, today announces that the uncompressed data recorder "DRB8000 Series", which supports the full UHDTV standard, is available for purchase.
One of the biggest features of "DRB8000 Series" is that all types of image resolutions for the UHDTV (BT.2020) standard are supported, including 8K 120Hz 4:4:4RGB. It enables recording and playing back of uncompressed data in the resolution of 7680 x 4320 pixels and the frame rate of 120Hz. "DRB8000 Series" is applicable for algorithm evaluation and the development of products related to UHDTV.
The interface is a 24-core optical fiber cable meeting the U-SDI (ARIB STD-B58) standard. Its firmware updates support the latest U-SDI, and the interface can be changed to 3G-SDI or 12G-SDI. In addition, an unprecedented large touch screen enhances user-friendliness and operability.
"DRB8000 Series" offers three types of products, 11TB "DRB8011", 23TB "DRB8023" and 46TB "DRB8046", depending on the storage size. The 46TB "DRB8046" records 30 minutes of uncompressed data which is 8K 120Hz 4:4:4RGB.
